Refund Policy

Louise Graham Art Company wants customers to feel confident when purchasing original artwork. This Refund Policy explains how cancellations, returns, damaged deliveries and refunds are handled.

Nothing in this policy is intended to limit any rights you may have under applicable South African consumer law.

Before Purchasing

Please review the artwork photographs, description, dimensions, medium, price and other information carefully before placing an order.

Original artworks are individually created pieces. Minor variations in colour may occur between the physical artwork and images displayed online because of differences in photography, lighting and screen settings.

If you have questions about an artwork before purchasing, please contact Louise Graham Art Company.

Cancelling an Order

If you wish to cancel an order, please contact Louise Graham Art Company as soon as possible.

If the artwork has not yet been dispatched, we will advise whether the order can be cancelled and arrange any refund that is due.

If the artwork has already been dispatched, different return or cancellation provisions may apply.

Online Purchases and Consumer Rights

Where a purchase qualifies for cancellation, return or refund rights under applicable South African law, those rights will be honoured.

Any time periods, conditions or charges required or permitted by applicable law will apply.

Returns

Please contact Louise Graham Art Company before returning an artwork.

Unless the artwork is defective, damaged, incorrectly supplied, or applicable law provides otherwise, an artwork approved for return should be returned in its original condition and securely packaged to protect it during transport.

Please do not send an artwork back without first contacting Louise Graham Art Company and receiving return instructions.

Return Shipping

Responsibility for return shipping costs will depend on the reason for the return and any rights that apply under South African law.

If an artwork is being returned because it was incorrectly supplied, defective or damaged in circumstances for which Louise Graham Art Company is responsible, appropriate arrangements will be made.

For other approved returns, the customer may be responsible for return delivery costs where permitted by law.

Artwork Damaged in Transit

Please inspect your artwork as soon as possible after delivery.

If an artwork arrives damaged, contact Louise Graham Art Company promptly and provide clear photographs showing:

  • the artwork and the damage;

  • the external packaging;

  • the internal packaging;

  • the shipping label; and

  • any visible damage to the parcel.

Please retain the artwork and all original packaging until the matter has been resolved.

We will assess the circumstances and work with you and, where appropriate, the courier to determine the appropriate remedy.

Incorrect Artwork Received

If you receive an artwork different from the one you ordered, please contact Louise Graham Art Company promptly.

Do not return the artwork until return or collection arrangements have been confirmed.

Refunds

Once a return has been received and, where appropriate, inspected, you will be notified about the outcome.

Where a refund is due, it will normally be made using the original payment method where reasonably possible.

The time taken for the refund to appear in your account may depend on the bank, card issuer or payment provider.

Original Shipping Costs

Whether original shipping charges are refundable will depend on the circumstances of the return and applicable consumer law.

Additional charges incurred because of an incorrect or incomplete delivery address supplied by the customer may not be refundable where permitted by law.

Custom or Commissioned Artwork

Commissioned, personalised or custom-made artwork may be subject to different cancellation and return conditions because it is created specifically for the customer.

Any special terms relating to a commission should be agreed before work begins.

This does not affect rights relating to defective goods or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

International Returns

Customers outside South Africa should contact Louise Graham Art Company before returning an artwork.

International returns may involve courier charges, customs procedures, duties or taxes. The arrangements will depend on the circumstances and destination.
